The story behind Plasma Shock Peening.

Plasma Shock Peening was born from a simple, persistent demand: the industry's need for higher-performance surface treatment. Regardless of sector, stress and fatigue have always been the engineer's obvious enemies — and the demand for greater surface strength and durability never fades.
Was there a solution? Yes, shock peening, the application of shockwaves to a metal surface, was already a proven concept. Was it affordable for widespread industrial use? No. At the time, the power sources capable of generating that energy were expensive, bulky, and difficult to operate remotely.
That left one key question: could the cost of the pressure-energy source used to generate the shockwave be brought down? We tested the idea. The answer was yes.
The next question followed naturally: could this principle be engineered into a practical, working solution? Again, yes. We patented the idea immediately. Did it make economic sense for the end user? Absolutely.
And the rest followed just as naturally: we built a spin-off company, assembled the team, secured investment, and got to work developing and validating Plasma Shock Peening.
Today, in 2026, that idea becomes reality. Plasma Shock Peening is entering the market — ready to redefine what affordable, high-performance surface treatment looks like.
